Pavel and the Tree Army #ReadYourWorld

Pavel and the Tree Army #ReadYourWorld

In Pavel and the Tree Army by Heidi Smith Hyde and Illustrated by Elisa Vavouri, Pavel takes us on a personal and uplifting journey.

Pavel is excited to start his journey with the Civilian Conservation Corps planting trees, building dams, and taking care of the land across America.

As the crew travels across America , Pavel and the other immigrants are met with unkind behavior and are even told they are not real Americans beacuse they were not born in America.

However, on the Fourth of July, Pavel and the other immigrants found the courage to perform a task that led them to truly make a mark and create a sence of belonging.

Heidi Smith Hyde story is a great example of how one can person can encourage many to build a community and  connectivity.

*I received this book for review from KAR-BEN Publishing as part of Multicultural Children’s Book Day! Thank you!
